How ARC Raiders wipes work
ARC Raiders is a PvPvE extraction shooter by Embark Studios. Raiders leave the underground city of Speranza to scavenge the surface, fight the machines of ARC and other players, and extract with loot. It launched on October 30, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
ARC Raiders has no forced wipe. Instead it uses Expeditions: an optional, personal reset you opt into. You build a Caravan through the Expedition Project, then explicitly sign up during a departure window. If you sign up, your Raider departs when the window closes — resetting character progression in exchange for permanent account-wide rewards. Embark has run five Expedition windows; the fifth ran from September 8 to September 29, 2026, and Expeditions are paused until early 2027 while the system is reworked.
What gets reset
- Raider level, skill tree and character progression (only if you depart on an Expedition)
- Stash, inventory, coins, workshop, crafting abilities and blueprints (only if you depart)
- Quest progress (optional since Expedition 5)
What you keep
- Permanent Expedition rewards, including earned skill points, extra stash space and cosmetics
- Cosmetics, Raider Deck progress, unlocked map regions, Codex entries, Raider Tokens and other metagame progress
- Up to five selected items placed in Ermal's Expedition Vault (when available)
- Everything, if you choose not to join an Expedition
How to prepare for the next wipe
- Expeditions are optional — only depart if the permanent rewards are worth a fresh start for you.
- Unfinished Caravans are converted into Ermal Vouchers during the 2026–2027 pause.

ARC Raiders wipe FAQ
01Is the ARC Raiders Expedition wipe mandatory?
No. You only reset if you complete your Caravan and choose to depart. Players who skip an Expedition keep all their progress.
02When is the next ARC Raiders wipe?
ARC Raiders doesn't force wipes. Its optional Expedition resets are paused until early 2027 after the fifth Expedition closed on September 29, 2026. Embark hasn't announced a return date.
03What do you get for departing on an Expedition?
Rewards have changed between Expeditions. They have included permanent cosmetics, extra stash space, up to 15 bonus skill points, Raider Tokens and temporary consecutive-departure buffs.
04Is ARC Raiders on consoles?
Yes. ARC Raiders is available on PC (Steam and Epic), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The player count on this page only includes Steam.
